Janelle is a biotech venture capitalist. Thanks to quantum mechanics, she is often simultaneously in two states (New York and Massachusetts).
Most recently she was a Managing Partner at CTI Life Sciences Fund. Prior to joining CTI, and in reverse chronological order, Janelle was Managing Director and co-architect of the MRL Venture Fund, Acting CEO of Access Scientific, Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Carrot Capital Healthcare Ventures, and a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group.
She holds a PhD from a university near Boston. There she worked for George Whitesides on microfluidics and protein surface electrostatics, while serving as resident tutor at Lowell House and claiming intramural championships in rowing and flag football. She holds a B.Sc. in Bio-organic Chemistry from McGill and was an active member of the Debating Union.
Janelle has attained a white belt in taekwondo and is a former professional steel drum player. She speaks french – poorly.
